Christian is a danish fishing-addict in southern Sweden

In 1984 my school arranged a fishing trip at a local lake near my home town of Taastrup Denmark. It was a brisk day in the fall and not a single fish was caught by anyone from school......but a bit further down the bank was a guy who was pulling fish out like it was the easiest thing on earth. One after the other. Not monsters but clearly he knew something we didn’t. I just couldn’t put that out of my head and now; after more than 35 years of sports fishing and some 70 different species caught across 4 continents from Green- to Thailand; fishing is still the last thing I think about before falling asleep and the first thing I think about when I wake up.

Admittedly, this might be an obsession, but there is nothing I don’t like about fishing. I like the preparation, the anticipation, the morning drive, the slow boat on a a rainy day, the bite, the fight, the release, the dinner and most importantly the contact with nature. I can even enjoy the day without catching...It's learning, and with fishing you never stop learning.

I moved to Sweden in 2004 and still live here with my Swedish family.

I have spent 14'ish years fishing the waters of this area and thus have a deep understanding of what works around here.  I use a combination of all techniques from LiveScope and casting to trolling, dead bait and coarse fishing. My favourite local venues are Möckeln, Lagan and a couple of others that shall remain unmentioned.

I have extensive experience in small vessel boating and fishing. I also have the Swedish "Fartygsbefäl" education as a coastal skipper.

I also have a B.Sc. in agricultural science, M.Sc. in Biotechnology-Biology, Ph.D. in molecular biophysics and worked as a researcher in drug development for many years. I also run the scientific consulting and communications firm "KrintelConsult".

I am fluent in English, Danish and Swedish and I speak some german too.
